Maria was born in the Slovak-Polish border area to a Hungarian family. After finishing high school in her hometown of Poprad, she moved to Budapest, where she received a scholarship and began studying at the prestigious Corvinus University. She graduated as a Landscape Architect with a specialisation in the protection and conservation of historic gardens.
Her professional experience has focused on rural development, rural social inclusion and generational renewal - the main priorities of EU rural development policy. She has been involved in several projects promoting social inclusion, poverty reduction and economic development in rural areas. She has actively supported knowledge transfer and innovation in agriculture, forestry and rural areas.
She is a committed promoter of the fundamental European values of tolerance, justice, solidarity and non-discrimination and a dedicated supporter of human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and human rights. peace and stability. She has been a volunteer at the Hungarian Cultural Centre in Warsaw running the Hungarian Sunday School and at Brisbane Ethnic Community Radio in Australia preparing Hungarian programmes.
