About the Project
In the "Sport up your life!" project organizations from Poland, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Portugal and Slovakia took part. A total of 40 people, aged 18 to 26, (8 from each country) living in small rural/urban centers participated in the task. The exchange took place in Koninki and Kraków (last day) in the Małopolskie Voivodeship on April 11-17, 2018 and was preceded by a preparatory visit in which 5 leaders took part (March 23-25, 2018).
Project details
The visit took place in the same center where the main part of the project - the exchange - took place later. During the project, we focused on three main issues: gender equality and equal opportunities, health and well-being, social inclusion - equality. Sport was the tool with which we tried to explore the above topics and achieve the intended goals. Activities undertaken during the exchange were conducted by project participants in accordance with the principles of non-formal education, taking the form of: discussions, thematic panels, workshops, national evenings, outdoor activities, interactions with the local community, dissemination activities, etc.
We shared the effects of the completed project with local school students and residents of the Limanowa district. The long-term benefits of the project are: preparing participants to cope with adult life, overcoming limitations related to lack of self-confidence and the inability to think outside the box, participants acquiring the ability to work in international groups and use English, increasing European awareness among the inhabitants of Małopolska (especially Tarnów, Murzasichla and, more broadly, Podhale and Małopolska) and the development of organizations participating in the task (closer connections between organizations, staff expansion, increase in experience in the organization of international projects).
