Sabina Klimek - bio
PhD in Economics from the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) in Warsaw. Currently serves as Consul
at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Istanbul, Turkey, and as Assistant Professor at
the Institute of Markets and Competition within the College of Business Administration at the Warsaw School of Economics. She is also Vice President of the Polish-American Chamber of Commerce North-East, based in New York. She has previously held the position of Consul, Commercial Counsellor, and Head of the Trade and Investment Promotion Section at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York. Earlier
in her professional career, she worked as an international news journalist for Polsat News and as a reporter for the “Panorama” programme on TVP2. She has also acted as an international trade negotiator, collaborating with companies from the Middle East, and has extensive experience as a trainer and consultant, specialising in negotiation, marketing, sales techniques, and business communication.
She is a graduate of doctoral studies at the Collegium of Socio-Economics at the Warsaw School of
Economics, as well as the University of Economics in Katowice, Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences
in Finland, and the University of St Andrews in Scotland. She is a member of the Business Forum
and the Food Forum at the European Commission, and serves as an expert for NORMAPME,
a standardisation organisation cooperating with the European Commission.
She is the author of numerous academic publications in the field of entrepreneurship, including:
- Women’s Entrepreneurship in Poland and Its Impact on the Country’s Economic Development
- Entrepreneurship Without Secrets.
She was recognised by “Dziennik Zachodni” as the Local Leader of the Year 2014 in the Bieruń-Lędziny county,
her home region, and was ranked among the top ten most influential women in the Silesian Voivodeship in 2020.
Beyond her professional achievements, she is passionate about travel and is a dedicated animal lover,
actively supporting shelters for dogs and cats.
