"Active in Krakow" is a social project implemented in the 8th District of Krakow - Dębniki, and it is financed from the Civic Budget of the city of Krakow for 2021/2022.

Our Goals:

The primary goal of "Active in Krakow" is to ignite curiosity and interest in the world among children and youth. We seek to deepen their knowledge of local culture and instill a sense of local patriotism. Our initiative offers free, public classes to create equal opportunities for development, regardless of origin, material status, or level of fitness.

Result

Working alongside tutors, teachers, and local artists, we open doors to the world of culture and science for children, enabling comprehensive development. Our classes foster friendly relations among participants and provide families with ample opportunities to spend their free time actively. Moreover, we encourage members of the local community to take further actions for the development of the 8th District of Krakow, Dębniki.

In cooperation with tutors, we conduct 4 types of cyclical classes:

  • Cyclic workshops in Robotics or Minecraft combining fun and learning to build real robots using educational LEGO bricks.
  • Cyclic workshops in English strengthening language skills and preparing older school children for upcoming exams.
  • Cyclic workshops Zumba Kids and Junior promoting teamwork, respect, and trust through Zumba dance and choreography from various cultures.
  • Cyclic workshops sports activities such as football, handball, fitness classes, agility classes, running, or other sports elements, making sport enjoyable and promoting health.

The culminating point of the project is a family picnic organized on the occasion of Children's Day.This year, it brought together over 800 residents of Dębniki, offering numerous attractions such as free time animation, competitions with prizes, sports tournaments, and an amusement park. 

The project includes the organization of free summer camps for children and teenagers.This year, we held two weekly stays, offering robotics and handicraft workshops, sports tournaments, and educational trips. A total of 109 children benefited from our offer.
